Terms of Service

Welcome to Lanelore ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using lanelore.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. About Lanelore

Lanelore is an independent League of Legends community resource providing champion builds, runes, matchup guides and playstyle narratives backed by aggregated ranked-match data. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or specifically approved by Riot Games, Inc. League of Legends and all related trademarks are the property of Riot Games, Inc.

Lanelore operates under the Riot Games Legal Jibber Jabber policy at https://www.riotgames.com/en/legal. We commit to proper attribution and non-commercial use of Riot's intellectual property within the bounds of their fan-content policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher). By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. User Accounts

Account creation is optional; most Lanelore features are accessible without an account.

If you create an account:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account.
  • You must provide accurate, current information.
  • You may not share, sell, or transfer your account.
  • You are strongly encouraged to enable two-factor authentication; we may require it for accounts with administrative privileges.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of Riot Games' Terms of Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, server, database, or network
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including via denial-of-service attacks, automated scraping beyond published rate limits, or content spoofing
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service beyond what is permitted by applicable law
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service at a rate exceeding published rate limits
  • Misrepresent the Service's affiliation with Riot Games or impersonate Lanelore or its staff
  • Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or infringes third-party rights
  • Use the Service to collect or harvest personal data of other users without consent

We reserve the right to enforce rate limits, block abusive IPs, and terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Content Ownership

5.1 Our Content

All original content on Lanelore — editorial writing, data visualizations, layout, brand assets — is owned by Lanelore. You may view and link to our pages freely. You may quote short excerpts for editorial or commentary purposes with proper attribution. You may not republish substantial portions of our content without written permission.

5.2 Riot Games Content

League of Legends champion portraits, ability icons, item artwork, patch notes, and other game data are the property of Riot Games, Inc. We display this content under Riot's fan-content policy. If you are Riot Games and wish us to remove specific content, contact us at [email protected].

5.3 User-Generated Content

If we add features that allow you to post content (comments, ratings, custom builds — planned but not live at launch), you retain ownership of your content but grant Lanelore a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute it within the Service. You represent that you have the rights to post any content you submit.

6. DMCA & Copyright Complaints

If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed on Lanelore, send a written notice to [email protected] that includes:

  1. Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with URL
  4. Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate

We respond to valid notices within 5 business days. Counter-notices are welcome.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates third-party services (Riot Games API, Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Cloudflare). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. Lanelore is not responsible for third-party actions or outages.

8. Advertising

Lanelore may display advertising through Google AdSense and may add additional advertising partners. When advertising is active, you may opt out of personalized advertising via our Cookie Preferences or by adjusting your Google Ad Settings. Displayed advertisements do not constitute an endorsement by Lanelore.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Statistical data will be accurate at all times (Riot API data has inherent latency and caching)
  • Build recommendations will improve your in-game performance (gameplay is influenced by many factors beyond data)

League of Legends stats, builds, matchup guides and recommendations are for informational purposes only. Use your own judgment in game.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lanelore, its operator, and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of your use of the Service.

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed 50 EUR or the equivalent in your local currency.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lanelore from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

12. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced via site banner or email (if you have an account) at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, unlawful activity, or extended inactivity. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service ends immediately
  • We may delete your account and associated data (except data we are required to retain by law)
  • Provisions that by their nature survive termination (IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) remain in force

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Istanbul, Turkey, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence grant you additional rights.

For EU residents: nothing in this section limits your rights under mandatory EU consumer protection law.

15. Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger or sale of assets.
  • Entire agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Lanelore regarding the Service.
