Early Game

Kennen top is ranged poke from 500+. Start Doran's Ring or Doran's Shield + 2 pots. Q-poke melee top laners during their CS attempts.

Level 1 stand back, level 2 you have full kit. Push wave to deny enemy approach. Track jungler — ranged tops die to top-side ganks easily.

Mid Game

Liandry's Anguish + Sorcerer's Shoes is your spike. Kennen pokes from 600+ range — out-range every juggernaut.

TP to objective fights. AP poke from screen edge = enemy team can't engage you. Build Zhonya's Hourglass vs dive comp.

Late Game

Backline AP threat. Stand mid-line at 700+ range. Poke priority targets — your damage scales infinitely on AP items.

Void Staff vs MR stacking. Rabadon's Deathcap 4th-5th item = 35% AP increase. Avoid getting caught — you die in 2 hits to assassins.

Win Condition

Out-poke lane → 1 item spike → R-burst teamfights. Kennen doesn't peel — your team needs another peel source.

Win: 50%+ Q hit rate + 3+ R kills per game. Lose to: gap-close skirmishers (Irelia, Camille) — need Zhonya's 1st item.

Power Spikes

Level 2 — full poke combo unlocked. Level 6 — R for first major burst window. Liandry's Anguish (1st item) — DoT damage on poke abilities. Sorcerer's Shoes — magic pen for true damage burst. Level 11 — R rank 2 + 2-3 items. Rabadon's Deathcap (5th item) — 35% AP amplifier.

Tips & Combos

Combos:

  • Q (poke) -> auto -> W (AoE) = chunk damage
  • E (CC) -> Q -> R = guaranteed combo on rooted target
  • Q on minion to bait enemy approach, then full combo when they whiff

Anti-tips:

  • Don't engage solo — ranged AP tops die in melee
  • Don't waste mana on missed Q's — manage for the actual fight
  • Don't fight at melee range — keep 500+ from frontline

Pro tricks:

  • Arcane Comet keystone procs every Q if landed at max range
  • TP backline of enemy team = unexpected ult angle
  • Push wave under tower mid-game, then TP roam
