Early Game
Nami's early lane is a sustain duel. Hide behind your ADC, harass with Q (Aqua Prison) bubble when the enemy support steps up. Your W (Ebb and Flow) bounces between 3 targets — fire it through minions for tier-1 heal-poke combos.
Use E (Tidecaller's Blessing) on your ADC during minion last-hits — the slow + bonus magic damage wins short trades. Don't push minions hard; Nami has no escape and gets ganked easily.
Mid Game
Level 6 is your first big spike — R (Tidal Wave) is a 2600-range AoE knock-up. Look to cross-map ult for jungle skirmishes / mid roams. Coordinate with jungler at scuttle.
Itemize Moonstone Renewer ASAP. Stack Manaflow Band for sustained poke. After 1 item Nami becomes a heal-cannon — start enabling skirmishes at drake.
Late Game
Peel-or-pick support. In 5v5, position behind your carry, save Q + R for when the enemy frontline engages. Your E on the ADC = 35% bonus damage for 6s.
Mikael's Blessing is your panic button vs CC chains. Late game Nami can solo-keep an ADC alive vs 2-3 divers — your kit is the highest single-target peel in the game.
Win Condition
Keep your ADC alive, snowball through utility. Nami wins when her ADC reaches 3+ items unscathed. Lose when ADC dies pre-15min or roaming supports out-tempo you.
Win: <2 ADC deaths first 20min + 50% Q accuracy + R utility on skirmishes. Lose: enemy fed Pyke/Naut roams 3+ times; ADC behind in farm by >30 CS.
Power Spikes
Level 2 — Q + W unlocked, first trade window. Level 6 — R for first cross-map play. Moonstone Renewer (1st item) — chain-heal procs. Ardent Censer (2nd item) — ADC bonus AS spike. Mikael's Blessing (3rd item) — CC cleanse for peel. Level 16 — R rank 3 = 3.25s knock-up + 200% AP scaling.
Tips & Combos
Combos:
- Q (delayed bubble) -> W (heal-bounce on enemy through minions)
- E on ADC + AA = empowered slow + magic damage proc
- R (long-range knock-up) -> Q (bubble) = unmissable hard CC chain
Anti-tips:
- Don't W onto enemy first — W heal maxes when it bounces enemy -> ally
- Don't engage with Q from melee range — bubble has 1s delay
- Don't burn Mikael's vs DoT — save it for ADC-killing channels
Pro tricks:
- Q lands instantly on enemies using dash/blink (root them mid-air)
- W damage = 65% base, heal = 90% — bounce enemy-first for sustain
