Early Game

Pyke early lane is aggressive trades. Start Spellthief's Edge + Refillable. Look for short trades — auto + Q + auto. Push wave to deny enemy farm.

Level 2 spike is huge — full ability kit available. Force all-ins on squishy supports. Track jungler — you die to ganks easily.

Mid Game

Umbral Glaive + Mobility Boots + Opportunity is your spike. Pyke executes squishy targets — focus enemy ADC + support in skirmishes.

Roam mid post-6 — your R closes long-range gaps. Lethality items convert kills into snowball.

Late Game

Assassin/duelist threat. Find isolated targets, flash + execute combo. Pyke thrives in 1v1 sidelanes and skirmishes more than 5v5 teamfights.

Build Edge of Night vs CC. Serylda's Grudge for armor pen. Avoid getting caught — you die in 1 hit late game.

Win Condition

Snowball lane → solo pick targets → end before 5v5 mid game. Pyke doesn't peel — your team needs another peel source.

Win: 5+ solo kills + 50%+ R execution rate. Lose to: tank supports who survive your burst (Tahm Kench, Maokai).

Power Spikes

Level 2 — full ability kit + first trade window. Level 6 — R for execute kills. Umbral Glaive — wards destroyed instantly, lethality boost. Level 11 — R rank 2 + 3 items = burst threat on squishies. Level 16 — R rank 3 + 5 items = global execute threat.

Tips & Combos

Combos:

  • Q poke -> E stun -> R execute on low-HP target
  • W stealth into Q + auto burst = surprise kill
  • Flash + R = unmissable cross-screen execute

Anti-tips:

  • Don't engage tanks — Pyke doesn't have damage to chew through HP
  • Don't waste R on full-HP target — wait for execute threshold
  • Don't tunnel on chasing — peel back if low HP

Pro tricks:

  • R resets on enemy death — chain executes possible if enemies cluster
  • Use stealth (W) before flanking, not after spotted
  • Track ward placement — Umbral Glaive lets you clear vision for free roams
