Early Game

Smolder bot lane is scale-and-farm. Start Doran's Blade + 3 pots. Last-hit CS — don't push wave unless engaging.

Level 2 spike with W or E unlocked. Trade only when support engages first. Stay 550+ behind your support against hook threats. Ward tri-brush by 0:30.

Mid Game

Kraken Slayer + Berserker's Greaves is your spike. Smolder starts shredding objectives — dragon priority. Stay 600+ behind frontline in skirmishes.

Infinity Edge 2nd item = crit damage explosion. Push wave to deny enemy roam, then rotate to dragon/grub fights.

Late Game

Backline DPS. Stand 700+ behind frontline. AA-spam priority targets — your DPS scales infinitely on crit items.

Rapid Firecannon 3rd item = 700 AA range. Bloodthirster 4-5th item = sustain + shield. Guardian Angel last item = revive after dive.

Win Condition

Farm to 3 items → DPS teamfights → close 5v5. Smolder carries by sustained damage; you don't pick or burst.

Win: 8 CS/min + 3-item completion by 20min + 50%+ KP. Lose to: assassins (Zed, Talon) — need GA + Bloodthirster shield earlier.

Power Spikes

Level 2 — W or E unlocked for trade window. Level 6 — R for kill confirmation. Kraken Slayer (1st item) — wave clear + true damage on AAs. Berserker's Greaves — AS for AA-heavy kit. Level 11 — R rank 2 + 3 items = backline DPS threat. Infinity Edge (2nd item) — crit damage explosion.

Tips & Combos

Combos:

  • AA -> Q (ability) -> AA -> W reset = full DPS rotation
  • Kite back when low HP — Lethal Tempo stacks reset on idle
  • R on lowest-HP target for execute or pickoff

Anti-tips:

  • Don't engage solo — ADCs die in 1v1 vs tanks
  • Don't AA in melee — kite at max range
  • Don't waste R on missed positioning — wait for clean shot

Pro tricks:

  • Lethal Tempo stacks during sustained DPS — stay in fight
  • Stand on top side of teamfight to face less divers
  • AA-cancel animations to maximize DPS (no idle frames)
